Luke works across intellectual property, technology and regulatory disputes.

He has been commended as one of Australia’s leading young litigators, profiled in Lawyerly for his work in intellectual property litigation. His copyright experience includes advising some of the world’s leading technology companies and digital platforms on copyright strategy, enforcement, and reform. Across the spectrum of intellectual property rights, he has assisted on commercialisation, governance, and strategic asset management.

As a key member of KWM’s Digital Economy practice, Luke assists the technology, media and entertainment sector with intermediary liability, advertising, content moderation, and online safety.

Luke is an up-and-coming lawyer in privacy and data disputes, particuarly at the intersection of platforms, new technologies, and life sciences. He has working knowledge of innovations in telehealth and digital health, artificial intelligence, medical devices and apps, and emerging medicines.

Outside of KWM, Luke is a member of the Management Committee of the Copyright Society of Australia, a Board Member of performing arts company Shaun Parker & Company, and was first appointed a member of the Independent Expert Panel for Screenrights in 2019. He has been a Panel Lawyer for the Arts Law Centre of Australia since 2015, and is acknowledged as a leader in Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property and Indigenous Data Sovereignty practice through his advocacy for Australia’s First Nations.

His work has been ranked as a Managing Intellectual Property 'Rising Star’ since 2019. In 2020, he was awarded the Young Alumni Award by the University of Newcastle, and was the Australian Law Awards' Senior Associate of the Year for 2019.
