Doing Business in the UK 2019 (Bilingual)

The UK, as the first developed economy that accomplished the industrial revolution, plays a significant role in Europe and even around the globe. Although the Brexit is still pending and has exposed this country to uncertainty, the non-stop media coverage of this issue, in turn reflects the value and charm of the UK on the global market.

We can conclude from the trade data and cooperation and exchange between China and the UK in 2018, that Chinese investors still have a great passion for the UK market. According to the statistics from HM Revenue and Customs, in the first half year of 2018, China-UK trade in goods amounted to USD 39.53 billion, representing an increase of 12.9%. What’s more, the UK’s Prime Minister Theresa May indicated when she visited China that the two countries are natural partners, and China can take good advantage of the city of London and in addition, the “Belt and Road” Initiative can further promote the prosperity of the UK as well.

To respond the demand of our clients, King & Wood Mallesons published the bilingual “Doing Business in the UK” (available in both Chinese and English) in which you may learn some ideas and views of the current issues in the UK. We hope that this guide can help you to add value to your business and we would be delighted to discuss any related topic of interest with you further.
