On 4 September 2020, King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) announced nearly 30 partner promotions and 29 counsel promotions across KWM China offices in 2020. These partners and counsels specialize in cross-border M&A, finance, real estate, litigation and arbitration, debt restructuring, and intellectual property. Their expertise injects vigorous strength into the innovating legal services, while carrying on KWM's brand culture. KWM also welcomed the addition of one partner and three counsels to the firm.

Sam Huang specializes in public and private corporate finance transactions, including initial public offerings, debt offerings, private equity investments, and M&As. Prior to joining KWM, Mr. Huang worked with Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York and Hong Kong offices. He has successfully represented many clients in their major transactions in Asian capital markets. He has rich experience in a wide variety of industries, including aviation, energy, financial services, insurance, energy, pharmaceuticals, technology and communications. Mr. Huang has joined the Finance & Capital Market Group at the Beijing/Hong Kong office as international partner.
