LANDWEHR/prosoft and BackOffice join forces to become one of the largest software providers for the temporary staffing market in Europe

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised LANDWEHR Group in connection with the merger with BackOffice AG. With the support of the technology investor LEA Partners, the unique combination of LANDWEHR/prosoft and BackOffice forms one of the largest software providers for the temporary staffing market in Europe with more than 350 employees and over 3,500 customers.

BackOffice AG, based in Basel (Switzerland), has been selling and developing the industry solution "Soprop" which is recognised as the leading solution in Switzerland for over 30 years. In addition to this product, BackOffice AG offers outsourcing services such as payroll and accounting for temporary staffing providers.

In July 2020, the two providers of software products for temporary staffing, LANDWEHR Group and prosoft Group, already merged (KWM advised LANDWEHR). Through the further merger with BackOffice AG, customers now have access to an integrated software solution that revolutionises the digitalisation and the automation of temporary staffing services from applicant management to payroll and accounting.

Frankfurt KWM partner Markus Herz advised LANDWEHR Group in connection with the merger with the Swiss company BackOffice AG. Swiss law firm Walder Wyss acted as lead counsel in this transaction.
