Gisele specialises in major construction and infrastructure disputes and represents clients in the building, engineering, construction, resources, transportation and energy sectors. Gisele has extensive experience in substantial construction disputes and has significant cross-jurisdictional experience having lived and worked in both Australia and Hong Kong.
Gisele works closely with clients on all aspects of the dispute resolution process, including advising project teams during the course of a project, assisting clients to resolve major disputes quickly and effectively including through negotiation, expert determination and mediation, and representing clients in court and arbitral proceedings. - Acting for a major oil and gas joint venture in a significant international arbitration seated in Singapore under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.
- Acting for a major construction company in relation to a number of domestic Hong Kong arbitrations under the HKIAC Rules related to a casino project in Macau.
- Acting for various international contractors on a number of disputes and arbitrations under the HKIAC Rules on a rail project in Hong Kong.
- Acting for a major construction company in an arbitration regarding defects on a significant infrastructure project in Hong Kong involving multiple parties.
- Representing a major international contractor in a SIAC arbitration relating to the construction of a major infrastructure project in Singapore.
- Acting for a multi-national construction company in relation to a series of complex actions and court litigation in Queensland under subcontractor charges legislation.
- Administration of construction claims and disputes throughout the project stages and assisting internal claims management teams of major construction companies.
- Assisting and representing clients in various expert determinations and mediations.
